Data that has to workin production.

Employer
EPAM Systems
Project / client
CLARO

I develop and maintain production ETL pipelines for telecommunications data, from integrating sources to supporting the processes that keep them running.

The flow I work on

A simplified view of the processing stages.

  1. Extractor

Ingest data from providers and network platforms.

  2. Parser

Analyze, validate and transform incoming data.

  3. Loader

Persist data in Oracle / PL/SQL for analytical use.

Technologies used

  • Java
  • Python
  • Oracle / PL/SQL
  • Apache Kafka

From implementation to operation

Source integration
Integrate new sources, equipment, counters and KPIs into existing data flows.
Processing & persistence
Develop and maintain components in Java and Python, optimize Oracle / PL/SQL packages, procedures and functions, and connect components through Apache Kafka.
Production support
Trace incidents through SQL and logs, and run backfills and historical reprocessing to recover data.
Data quality
Build automated failure detection and recovery controls, and validate data quality after deployments.

Experience
